This is a matter of opinion. I think it is a good deal. You pay $520 for Jethots coated right? Add 150$ to have the edelbrocks coated and you are at the same price. To me that is a no brainer. Also you are comparing apples to oranges. From a traditional 1 3/4 header to a nice stepped one with merge collectors is worth it.

Well it looks like the 'brocks will be around 400 with Ti-Tech if they only increase by 20.

Well that is a matter of opinion, however I can tell you that the Ti-TECH will give you the same durability for less money than the ceramic coated or Jet-Hots.

they are going to be a great header either way. the new ones with the egr/air and 02 bungs in the collectors that are already welded don't have the merge collector, but the 65703 ti-tech coated headers that you have to weld the 02 bungs and have no provision on the headers do have the first style of collector, so you just have to decide on which one better suits you.

Here is a pic of the Ti-Tech coated:

So will the newer style have 3" collectors or 3.5"? I want to be able to slide a TSP true dual over these without modification.

it looks like 3in. i wonder if there is going to be any hp difference between the headers with the merge collectors, and those without. i am leaning towards the already assembled headers, but i have h/c with 150 shot and wondering if i would be better off with the merge collector edelbrocks. what do you guys think?

I just got my edelbrocks with the merge collectors and they look really nice. I am glad I went this route.

Its not a very good pic, but here is one of the collector.

was it a pain in the *** to weld in the o2 bungs, and did you just slip on the collector, or did you weld it up as well

The new headers will also feature a 3.5" collector.

So does the new header, design w/Ti-Tech coating, need to welded? Or will it be more of a bolt-on piece. I don't need AIR/EGR. Will you be offering a race only style?

Is PN 6573 the Ti-Tech coating version? I've seen this PN at SDPC for 399.99.

the 65703 is for the ti-tech race only (no egr/air) where you have to weld on the collector and o2 bungs, and the 65683 is for the egr/air and welded in o2 bungs...correct me if i am wrong jason!

So the Ti-Tech coating is more durable then the Jet Hot Coating? I have QTP's (Mild Steel) with the jet hot coating and it is flacking off and they need re-coating. With the new Edelbrock's coming out (emission style), there will no modding these to make them work, just bolt-on and play? Man these things look like a hell of a header for a damn good price. I was thinking of going with the SS QTP's with HV collector, but way too much money for me. I may have to drop out the ol' QTP's for the new Edelbrocks since I'm going with H/C soon
