We talked to them over a year ago about working together on duals, but it didn't go anywhere. Alot of effort and money into an exhaust for a car not produced anymore. And, it's going to be $$$.

The muffler they made for us did sound great and work well!

If it wasn't for the p-bar brace and a few other things that get in the way, this system would have been a sweet production exhaust..

Good luck with your system and the craftsmanship looks top-notch.

Two 2.5 pipes = two mufflers otherwise just go with a 3 or 3.5 single. Defeats the purpose of having duals. I would like to see a comparison with other dual systems as well as OE style cat backs regardless.

What type of material? aluminized steel?

Mmmm - I picked up 24 rwhp with my 2.5" duals over my 3" custom open Y in the mid-range. The crossover(Dr. Gas preferably - although the Bassani X made the same power on my car) is the reason you go with duals - not just extra pipe.

Now, throw a home-made or no-name X in the system and the results will be mixed.

look at the muffler real close. it's 2 in and 2 out. the left and right banks are still separated from each other. just uses one muffler instead of two. makes ground clearance alot better than most other dual systems. i want to say it's stainless. but, i'll verifiy that for you.

Sort of a compact double muffler? Perf tube, chambered, packed?
You've peaked my interest.

A Y-pipe system, even through a 4" won't make the same power across the power-band as a dual X system. The X crossover scavenges better and produces more power and torque than a single pipe, y-system. Peak numbers may be similar or exact - but races are won and lost in the mid-range, not peak.

two days after i installed it, i lost 2nd gear in the tranny. i do have a dyno result. but, not allowed to post because of pontiac enthusiasts interest in doing an article. tranny is getting fixed this week. i burned up the 2nd gear clutches. then off to the track and more dyno testing. plus found out there is a difference in the y-pipes from 98-99 to 00-02. working out that issue as well. once all is done, there will be a GP on it through vinci. here's the webpage to keep looking for updates on. http://www.vincihighperformance.com/fbodyls1.html then click exhaust on the left side.
