bassani dual exhaust

bassani tru-dual exhaust
i'm prototyping this exhaust through vinci high performance for bassani. bolts to the stock cats into an X-pipe. then continues dual over the axle into one muffler. then two out. once testing and fitment issues are resolved, pricing will be set. this is a tru-dual system.
here's the pics

Looks VERY nice. Looks VERY expensive. Bassani is first class all the way. Bet it's pretty quiet with stock manifold and cats. Probably more of a sound mod than a performance mod. I would imagine the sound would rival the best of anything out there.
From a power standpoint, I bet it would be really nice with their mid-length headers and cats. Keep us posted with sound clips and more pictures (especially how it merges with the factory cats, etc..

Looks a little tight around the PHB, nothing a little adjustable PH wont take care of !
Bassani from my experience is anything but quiet, even with ALL cats on a 03GT that ***** nice and loud, quiet at idle, but anything off idle and its sweeeet.
Anyway you can get a side ****, from a 3/4 looking up, so we can see the clearance and fitment from the side?

pipes are 2.5" it actually is hitting the panhard brace. not the rod itself. i have a hotchkis panhard rod on there right now. either i can cut one inch off the intermediate pipe that connects from the X-pipe to the over axle pipe or, i can notch the brace.
are you asking for pics under the door area to see the ground clearance? if so, it tucks up real nice. i have no ground clearance issues with it. even going over speed bumps. i have a sound clip i submitted to ls1sounds. didn't have it when i uploaded the pics using vinci's site. right now my computer is packed away until i move into the new house.
the low and mid range is real good compared to the cutout i had on the stock system. the X-pipe is really helping that out. and feels just as strong in the upper rpms as the cutout did.
as soon as i fix the tranny from toasting 2nd gear last night from too many 200 hp n2o hits, it'll be on the dyno and track. tranny builder can'tget to it until after thansgiving.

downside is when people say you are getting all butt-smoochy, as one guy put it, when you post for the company you are testing for. you'll notice i post alot for www.vincihighperformance.com as well. i'm also doing the field testing on their handheld programmer. but they are just jealous is all. and no, i don't get all this stuff for free either. but, i do get for a good price.
the wife's and my car are on their site here under joe vinci's 409 cid LS1 and Crane Cams street shark car:
http://www.vincihighperformance.com/fbodyls1.html
next up from them will be long tubes with catted y-pipe. also catted pipes to fit this dual set up. i'm all for the next test.

I rode shotgun in the first couple of evaulation passes The db level was very docile in the cabin with the windows up at WOT.
I'm personally not a fan of those style of tips (nor of the MagnaFlow tips either), but barring exhorbitant cost I might be interested if they would fit in my application. Alas I don't think they would even with a custom y-pipe due to my torque arm.

simplicity. room constraints. ground clearance. they wanted this exhaust to be quiet as well as perform. bassani thinks it's to loud still. i personally do not. it's nice and quiet in the car. but behind it, it's medium loud.

ok just sent the clip to master chief. problem with me is i'm using my father-in-law's iMAC computer. i had the sound clip emailed to me from my friend's camera. so i have it in my AOL email. i can't figure out how to download it and save it to the iMAC to try and attach it here. if master chief or anyone else wants to upload it, that's fine by me.
