with it hitting the PHB brace does it rattle? Im sure it could be fixed easy but I was just wondering. Can you give us an idea of how much you picked up on the dyno? Is it more or less than a catback normaly makes. I would think you could at least tell us that and not step on any toes for an article

Also is your car lowered?

not that i'm aware of. do the convertibles still have the extra brace? if so, does it cross over anywhere near the y-pipe area?

Here is a pic of underneath the car, the tunnel brace looks to be the only difference between the vert and t-top cars. I also have Sub Frame connectors, KBDD's

well then. i had to lower my tunnel brace almost one inch to get it to bolt back on.the x-pipe lands right where the tunnel brace goes. i'll bring this up to vinci and bassani. subrame connectors shouldn't matter other than the torque brace they add to the driver's side so the pipe doesn't hit the floorpan.

Have you guys considered using the new panhard relocation bar from BMR for extra clearance where the duals go over the axle.

just put another one on a 2000 TA with MAC headers and catted y-pipe. only had to weld the passenger side to the cat. the driver's side used the ball joint fitting that's on the cat and use the supplied ball flang that comes with the bassani dual system. going to try and have roger vinci take pics and post them up. even on the welding part, you could get a slip fit connector at a local parts store or exhaust shop and clamp it on.

also they put one on a convertible the day before. just have to move the tunnel brace from the top of the trans crossmember to the bottom.

When are you going to dyno this thing? I have been following this thread for about a month. I like how you are doing all the before and after dyno/time slips. Keep up the good work

honest, i'm trying to get some time scheduled this week back at macedo motorsports. it will be a second gear run. good thing about my 00 formula. i can put the auto shifter into 2nd and it'll start off in second. this way you can see the gains from 5 mph all the way up. this will show you exactly what will happen below 3000 rpms where it counts. then i'll do a standard 3rd gear run on the bottle.

i did go back to the track last friday. it went 12.820 @ 120. backs up the dec 22nd runs of 12.81 @ 121.35 and 11.84 @ 121.20 and it did a 13.35 run NA which is up .05 from dec 22nd. but it was colder friday. so, i'll just say it pretty much duplicated itself.

Of note, the price quoted to me by Vinci's was not $849. Apparently we all missed to boat on the $849 price.

The system is now $949 plus shipping from Vinci's.

Secondly, Bassani now has the system in stock themselves, though they wont sell it to the public. This means that we can call other Bassani vendors and ask for a price drop shipped from the CA Bassani location. For those of us who live places like Oregon, this can mean alot of money saved.

I found a vendor who would sell me the system drop shipped from Bassani for $849 shipped to my door.

If any other vendor sells Bassani, they to can get one of these systems drop shipped as well.

I did not use a company that was a vendor, and per board policy, I will not post who it was. Anyone can PM me and we can discuss.

Just encouraging everyone to do their research and play sceptic the first time you hear anything. Just good consumer sense.

I'm not trying to imply anything about Vinci's. If I lived in Fla, I very well might be buying from them. I just live almost 3000 miles from Fla. I also would have respected this thread as only about Vinci's special deal... but apparently it's not still on, so...

BTW, for clarification;

is part number 5798RS-5

is part number 5798RD-5

According to Bassani, they both use the same muffler, and are both the same vendor cost. The RS-5 is available in stock... the RD-5 is a 7-10 day manufacturing window.

ok the $849.00 is still happening. but, you have to buy in groups of five to get it. if you do not want to wait for people to get on the $100.00 discount and want it right away, then you pay the $949.00 and get it now. if you wait until five people get in on an order, then you get the $849.00 price.

ok let's also clarify this different systems you have pictured. the one on the blue lift is one that lane's performance made in an attempt for bassani to produce.

The muffler they made for us did sound great and work well!

If it wasn't for the p-bar brace and a few other things that get in the way, this system would have been a sweet production exhaust.
now to clarify the part numbers you were given.

part number 5798RS-5 is what's on my car. the S means Split. meaning one tailpipe each side of the car.

part number 5798RD-5 is the same kit. the difference is the D. this puts both tailpipes on the driver's side hence Dual.

I'll take pictures of whichever I receive. It sounds like with the RS-5 I'll get one nice system or another nice system. I don't care which

yes it's avery nice system. but i guarantee what i wrote on the part numbers. it's nice to have a direct line to the main people. roger vinci called todd at bassani when i told him about this thread. the picture of the car on the blue lift, you will not get. that system lane made up using a muffler from bassani. you ordered the S, you'll get the one on my car.
