Default question on LS6 intake swap

Getting ready to do the LS6 swap, also thinking of doing TB coolant bypass. I was reading that you block off the rear two coolant passages, can you also block off the front two if you dont want that line going to the TB any more? or do you need the cross over pipe for cooling purposes? Ls1howto didnt say anything about that part of it. Thanks

The front a.nd rear cooling tubes are different from the TB bypass tubes. you can cut your tubes and weld over the holes if you do not have 01-02 tubes.

The coolant crossover tubes are meant to return some coolant to the radiator + ridding the coolant system of air. The tubes on the bottom of the TB are meant to help warm the air going into the engine on colder days.

I think that his question is can he delete the line between the front crossover pipe and the radiator. This is the line that runs through the throttle body then to the radiator. I have thought the same thing. What would happen if you deleted that line.

I think you answered the question. Without the line going back to the radiator the system couldn't purged the air and would remain trapped in the system.

Yes, the 01-02 cars had delete plugs in the rear and the front line still running to the radiator.

Do not break the oil pressure sensor found at the back driver side area directly behind the rocker cover. Mine broke when I took off the old intake.

"The tubes on the bottom of the TB are meant to help warm the air going into the engine on colder days."

To further clarify, this was so the TB blade won't freeze up in REALLY cold weather ( i.e Nebraska, Canada -20 etc. ).
