Default Whats Louder

ok...im keeping stock manifolds, maybe upgrading to high flow cats. Now the question is what catback to buy. I was thinking magnaflow for a nice stainless system and then having a cutout on the i-pipe. or what about just having the slp loudmouth. im between those 2 choices....magnaflow and cutout or just the loudmouth. let the voting begin.

Yes. It's much louder when uncapped.

1 cutout is plenty fine. 3" in the I-pipe in the undercar well just behind/under the passenger seat- you'll see, it's the perfect niche for the cutout.
Manual cutouts are cheap- $40, but getting under the car to uncap it gets old. Check out QTP's elect. cutout. Flip the switch and it's loud when you want it.

No, the I-pipe is the long segment of 2.75" diameter (stock) exhaust that connects the Y-pipe (where the cats are) to the Catback behind the rear end.

If I am not mistaken... A cutout with loudmouth will just be louder in the car. loudmouth does not have any resonators or mufflers so it would not make a difference. Magnaflow...maybe since it does have a muffler and a resonator I believe. Please correct me if I am wrong. And this young man claims he is going to stick with stock manifolds so the Loudmouth will be louder.
Comparing the magnaflow and LM with stock manifolds, the Lm will be louder. Anything with mufflers or resonators will not be as loud as a system without that ****.

LM has a small resonator.
Magna is a standard, 1 muffler catback.
I think this guy is asking about the Magna/cutout combo vs. the LM w/o a cutout.

The i-pipe is after the cats, right under your passenger side rear seat. On another note, I have SLP longtubes, ORY, cutout on the i-pipe and the Magnaflow S.S. catback on my SS. I like this setup a lot because it has a nice tone when it's capped up, and then I can uncap it when I want it to be really loud. I had a QTEC electric opener on my cutout and would not recommend it. All I had was problems out of the QTEC opener, while my friend who bought a McCord electric opener has never had one problem out of his.

Magnaflow S.S. catback with a cutout would be better than the Loudmouth IMO. The Magnaflow 3.5" tips look a lot better than the SLP dual-dual tips too.
