QTP HEADERS/Y-PIPE SALE!!! Quick installing question!

QTP is on sale at fasttoys.com, and i'm ordering them. The only issue is, the headers have a 3" collector pipe. The y- pipe is also 3", will they fit my 2 1/2 inch Borla catback? I mean couldn't i just put an extension or something to make it fit, or do i just have to change the whole cat back system again?

Are you sure the I pipe on the Borla is 2 1/2?

On the Flowmaster Merge Collecter that sits before the I-pipe, it steps itself back down to a smaller size. I don't know what size it gets to exactly but it's smaller than the main thing. Call fasttoys.com and ask them.

the outlet is 3" you will need a 3" cat back if you want best power. I would not go to a 2.5 after i put headers on

Yeah i would also want a 3" exhaust, but i got the Borla catback exhaust put on before i was even thinking about headers. To swap out exhaust like that means $$$! I can't just go out and buy exhaust like that. I got the exhaust like a good 6-8 months ago. Couldn't i just change the pipe that goes to the muffler. I can't remember what it looks like, cause i haven't been home in like 6 months! I'm out at sea right now, Navy!

I highly doubt you have a 2.5" catback. I dont even think that borla makes a 2.5" for a LS1. Factory pipe is 2 3/4.

Agreed, not possible to have a 2.5" pipe because a Borla catback is supposed to come with 3" piping for the whole idea of more power. Either way, the y-pipe will mate up fine with the I-pipe.

No offense or anything but you shoulda hopped on the QTP Sale. I put in all the things i got from QTP's sale in and compared the price, QTP Shipped was over 100 cheapear then FAST Toys, was SUB-TOTALED!

QTP Rules, and i believe borla is a 3" inlet
