Default Best Underdrive Pulley???

Is the SLP worth the extra money due to the taller walls preventing belt slippage?

Has anyone with the ASP who switched to Gatorback belts EVER had the belts fall off......even once???

I have the ASP pulley and the gatorback belt, no problems with slippage at all.

My $.02. ASP is by far and away the preferred, most common among board members. Basing your decision on that fact will normally get you a good product.

I'm not a fan of SLP but I bought their pulley because it's made completely of steel. The ASP is steel and aluminum. When I had my GTP I changed the S/C pulley twice, both with different size ASP pulleys. When I took each of them off they ended up bending slightly. I don't know if anyone has had this issue with the crank pulley, but that's what I based my decision on.

I really liked my March UD pulley that I had on my pewter car. I will be getting another one of those when the time comes for the Black car. My .02

The March is on mine as well... haven't heard too many people using it though, so I guess we're one of the few. Although, I can't quite say I've had the engine up and running since (due to other major issues)

Sounds like the ASP/gatorback setup is pretty dependable. I just wonder about longevity of taking off and on since it has aluminum vs SLP full steel.

i'm having problems with my ASP pulley. i think it's because of it being taken on and off several times for cam swaps and things. it will no longer stay on the car,it keeps backing out the bolt and comming off.

I've taken my March pulley on and off at least 3 times and I have yet to run it. I hope that doesn't happen to me.

Is it OK to put locktite on the bolt to keep it from backing off? Anyone? I'm about to put my pulley in and may put some on it, if it doesn't harm anything.
