starting car without lid?

Default starting car without lid?

can i do this? will it hurt anything? i just got done with my heads install and want to fire it up but i sold my lid and am awaiting a tsp 85mm lid.

As long as you have you MAF sensor on the TB you'll be fine.

im runnin in sd so i will place the maf there i guess and then just not plug it in.

I'd just be sure you're not in dirty conditions, including
the underhood grit, flying insects etc. Chunks not good.

You should at least plug it in or it will run like **** because the engine wont know how much air it is getting.

i wont be driving it just letting it idle in garage. as for air calculations that is why we tune the ve table. so you can eliminate the maf.

If your running speed density then you dont need a MAF. And I would try to buy a filter and attach that to your bellows with a hose clamp if you are going to fire it up.

I don't know if SD uses the sensor that is on the lid, but you should plug that in if it does.
