Weld it or not?
Weld it or not? I put on my Magnaflow catback about two months and it has had a leak ever since. Bought band clamps and had them done by a mechanic but still a leak. Thanks to that leak my cat is gone well at least I think only one. My ? is should I get everything welded from header collector to the muffler? anything that I should worry about if I do that?
Nothing to worry about, can make it a little harder to du mods under there, but not by much. Like if you wanted to drop the fuel tank or something with the transmission you would have to ge tthe exhaust removed first. Other than that it will surely seal up all your leaks.
Personally, I wouldn't weld up all the exhaust simply because it would make working on your car that much more difficult. What kind of band clamps did you get? The stainless ones that wrap around the pipe (about 3" wide)? If you get those tight enough, you shouldn't have leaks. Just be sure to put some muscle on it when you're tightening the bolts/nuts on the band clamps.
Pull it apart and use Red RTV sealant on all the joints. Get the band clamps like the ones supplied with the Borla system. You can see them on Borla's site, maybe even get them from there. They seem to be the best band clamps I've have seen or used.
welding exhaust I would get some flanges and gaskets and weld it up. You can still remove it and it wont leak. I would not use clamps at all. Just get good gaskets if you do use flanges.

You might try going to Home Depot, get a roll of the
aluminum A/C duct tape and put a couple turns of that
around each joint and put the band clamps back on.
Or go to AutoZone and pay more for a smaller roll.
Tape makes the seal, clamp makes it stay.
I don't favor RTV anywhere close to O2 sensors, whether
or not the mfr claims it's "safe".
