Default meziere waterpump?

I was wondering if anyone was running that meziere electric waterpump? If so what did you have to do about the belt, and did you see any hp gains with it? Is it worth the money? I was just curious cause I was thinking about running it. Thanks

There are 2 different electric pumps that Meziere offers.. One of them is the "street" version and the other is the "race" version. The street pump has a pulley on it and all factory accessories still work. With the race pump you don't have heat anymore and it does not have a pulley on it.. They are worth some hp for sure! But, I'm not sure if they are worth the money unless you are wanting to get every little bit of power out of your setup.

I had one on my LT1 car and it worked great... Temps were brought down about 20 degrees and I never had a problem with it..

Hey nothing i bought for my car was worth the money, as much as things cost nowadays, but i have the meziere and its a great piece. Motor runs cooler, i can run it while the motor is off and watch the temp guage go down right before my eyes, more hp, "8 to 10" says meziere when i bought it. And its cool looking, i think i used the stock belt but i cant remember, hopefully someone else will chime in on that. Street version has an idler pulley and thermo. And like 1quick said no heater provisions on the race pump.

If you have an underdrive pulley, you won't see much gain with the Mezeire street pump. If you have a stock pulley, you will see some gains.

The only caveat is if you bypass the power steering, and only run the alternator, you'll see additional gains. The PS pump cavitates at Higher RPM. But, the draw of the fuel pump and the computer, and the pump kills a battery too fast for us to run with no belt (no alternator).

With the belt all the way off, and the dumps open we have seen gains as high as ~20 HP.

So you have to run a different belt if you get the strip version of the waterpump? I want to run the pump because it looks cool and I was curious if it had any hp gains. Thanks
