Default if i install a cutout??

i am thinking about getting a flowtech cutout and putting it where the Y meets at the front of the car, and i am wondering will it throw any codes or will i be fine. i just want it to be louder and flow better since i have a flowmaster catback, and i am wanting a easy solution till i get my headers and offroad Y.

you'll be fine, but if I were you I wouldn't put it up there. Most people put it in the back for clearance issues and it's easier to get to back there. If you are doing duals then they would go up front.

Loud enough to set off a few car alarms a day.

Default loud

yep I have 3" cutouts installed on all 3 of my f bodys near the axle sets off parked cars alarms. its a throaty sound.. the futher back towards the rear you install the cutout, the less interior noise and vibration you will have from the open cutout.

Right after the y comes together, there is a nitch in the rear passanger floor board the is a great place to put the cut-out. almost like it is designed for it. I have ut all of mine there and it is very loud. especially if you run long tubes without cats. My only advice is to put it on a slught downward angle. When i pulled my carpet up, i realized that i was burning the floorboards pretty good and the matting was taking a beating. just a slight angle will cure this. Good luck. WOT

i put mine before the rear end, because, it made it alot easier to put the cover back on or off. But now that I have the electrical dump, no more getting dirty or burnt. O ya, i have mac midlength's with no cats, and when I have it open, it is insanly loud, as wot you can hear me a good 5-6 blocks away
