Default Flowmaster alternative, something just as loud?

I have read all the threads that the flowmaster will make you loose 10-15rwhp compared to other catbacks. I am used and like how loud it is. I do have a cut-out on it, but still want to replace the muffler with something just as loud, but will free up that horsepower. I know that most people on here will reccomend the hooker or magnaflow, but most consider those a mellow/quieter muffler. Any other alternatives? Will the flowmaster 40 series flow much better than the 80 series that came with the catback? thanks

Have you listened to all of the sound clips at the top of the page? It's really a matter of taste. Question is: what's more important... hp or loudness. By the looks of your mods, I'd say hp. If you have an electric cutout, I'd say just keep the flowmaster (since you like the sound) and open her up when you need to.

I have a QTP on it, just have to run the wire and switch for it. After reading a lot of threads, it seems like the magnaflow or hooker would be nice. From what I got, the hooker is quieter but deeper, and the magnaflow is louder but will rasp more when you add long tubes and take of the cats.

Anyone know what size muffler comes with the flowmaster? I will probably just have the flowmaster cut off and weld on a magnalfow or hooker. Anyone? thanks

Not sure off the top of my head.
Just measure it with a tape measure.

After looking at pictures of the hooker and magnaflow mufflers, I realized that I cant just get a muffler and drop it in. The flowmaster has chambers, while the hooker and magnaflow are straight through. That means I would need to have new pipes bent to route the piping for one of the exaust tips. I will just get a hooker cat back and replace the tips with my flowmaster ones.
