coil packs....all the same for the gen III GM motors?

Question coil packs....all the same for the gen III GM motors?

Just wondered if the coil packs interchange on the LSx motors.....ie 5.3 truck to an 5.7 LS1 motor....????

No, they made three different types and sizes, btw the truck are ones are known to be the best for performance, they're round in shape.

There are two different styles on the trucks.. One being a Deplhi style coil(square #12558693)) & the other being a Mitsubishi style coil(round #10457730).

That's backwards. Delphi are round, Melco (mitsu electric) are square.

In any case, the square melco's are the hotter coil.

Part numbers for shape are correct though, from memory though. So don't quote me

So the 5.3 silverado's plug right in? I have a friend with an 04 5.3 motor out of a truck....
