Well, when you remove the stock intake you're going to have to block the old coolant ports with some plugs that should be included with the intake because you're going to be using a different coolant tube setup under there. The EGR is gonna have to get the heck outta there. Just pull it off and get yourself some block off plates for the manifolds/ headers. Removing the EGR will throw a code so you're going to have to get that taken care of. Besides that you should be all good.

Since the LS6 intake doesn't have an EGR hole all you need is one block off plate but you might as well get all three and block off the AIR too.

Well if you're going to have the motor out of the car you might as well do a cam. Just turn it upside down on the engine stand and then you won't even have to worry about holding up lifters. It would probably take 30 minutes to take off the pulley and water pump and then yank the cam out.

Don't break off the oil pressure sending unit. When you go to pull the intake out after you've loosened all the screws, and you've unhooked all the injectors, there will probably be a large vacuum hose sitting behind the sending unit that will catch on it, and if you don't reach around and pull it up and over the unit, you'll snap it right off. quick $50 bucks right down the drain if you do.

You're going to need the LS6 coolant front pipe, and the two coolant plugs for the back.

Might as well switch over to the LS6 PVC system while you're at it. Next time my intake comes off I'm going to. Will clean up the engine bay!

True that... I installed my LS6 intake last night, and sure enought. I snapped the oil pressure sensor right off. Be VERY careful pulling out the intake when you're trying to reach behind it, to disconnect everything. You can buy a new sensor at Autozone for $30, or go to O'Reily's for $20. Also, you'll need to buy a oil pressure sensor socket for $6 at the auto parts store to install it.

its on the drivers side right behind the intake, just be careful and make sure you disconnect everything behind it when you pull the intake or you will snap it off.

Make sure to pull up the weather stripping on the cowl...or you will scratch the crap out of your arms on the plastic spikes when you reach for the back of the intake

You will need a special tool to remove the fuel lines.

you dont remove the fuel lines u keep them pluged in and just sit the injectors\fuel rail to the side.

You can keep the fuel line connected, and just set it aside with the driver's side fuel rail.
