Default lid & a good catback... improve gas mileage??

bone stock 98 z28 a4 right now. got a lid on the way and am trying to pick a good catback. will these two mods help gas mileage at all?? im getting around 18-19 city/hwy right now, which is pretty good for an a4 i guess, but id like it to be a lil better. will the lid & catback help me out at all??

I have a lid and a cutout and a 98 A4 and get around 22 MPG city/hwy. And I do have a very heavy foot.

A good tune and some synthetic oils in the drive line will help the most.

A lid and catback won't be much help.

As long as you keep your foot out of it, your gas mileage will improve somewhat.

I wasn't able to tell a difference when I put them on. I get about 15 in town and 30 on the highway.(M6)
We'll see if the headers going on this weekend will help
