Default What do you think about Borla Catback?

I have Magnaflow right now and it sounds good but not loud enough. I think I'm about to get the 3in adj. borla catback. What do you think about it.

Default Borla

I think its a $1000 straight pipe.........but i do like the sound. Both of my camaro buddies have it, they love the sound, its a great looking piece. Plan ahead too, dont get it if you plan on doing true duals etc..

I think its the ****** ****. Its loud and has that old school muscle sound. A little spendy, but worth it. Sound is all out the back, and not too bad on the inside. A cutout will annoy the **** out of you. All your **** will rattle on the inside and it really doesnt have a good sound to it. Its more of just LOUD noise. Plus i think the borla tips are the coolest lookin tips out there. Its all opinion though.

All exhausts have "tone" to them even a cutout, and if you like the really ******* loud sound get a cutout. It rattles my interior because i dont have it turndownd to the ground it is like sticking straight up. But i have no problem with the rattle let alone the ******* loudest sound youve ever heard.

i had a borla on my old car and i liked it but if youve already got a catback its entirely too expensive to swap. when i bought mine it was 579, now its over 800. just buy headers and an ORY, itll be plenty loud enough.

I got a borla catback exhuast...it came with the car when i bought itand it is one hell of a good exhuast, i always get compliments on it but to tell you the truth, if your pockets arent so deep, then i would rather go with the SLP loudmouth exhuast.

I have the Borla. Love it. Only draw back is climbing under the car and swapping plates. Plan on getting an electric cutout to put in the place of the plates.

Ive got a Borla, Its pretty loud but if loud is all you want get a LOUDMOUTH!. The good thing about Borla is that you cn quiet it down. Still I sometimes wonder why I paid 700 bucks for an exhaust system.

If you want loud, get a cutout. Don't get a borla or a loudmouth if you EVER plan on getting an ORY with headers. Both of the exhausts sound like chainsaws. There is no "old school muscle" sound from either of those with headers and no cats, and if you think there is then you have no idea what old school muscle is. Another thing, once the cats come off, the plate with the smallest opening sounds identical to no plate at all.

Just listen to the raspy clips of borla/ORY on LS1sounds.com. That should make anyone want to run as far away from that exhaust as possible. I sold my borla for 500 on ebay and bought a Hooker Catback, they only sell for 300 bucks, and no more *** sounding exhaust.

I'm actually thinking of selling my Borla or even trading. I may go to true duals. We'll chat later this week.

If you've got $700 to spend on an exhaust, might as well get the best sounding system made(gmmg). IMHO, the borla is a $700 cutout. If you want a louder exhaust, you can just weld in a cutout right before your muffler for $50. I have one on my car and made an 1 1/4" plate for it. Mine sounds like my magnaflow only louder and throatier.

Yup, thats what I did. I got rid of duals to get borla and ORY on my car. I picked up the borla, electric cut out, and the ORY for 400 bux from a friend. Happy I did, and if I get another f-body, this will be the same set up.

get headers. Louder, more power and would cost about the same as borla.
