Default Dual Cutouts-before or after X?

I believe I will gain more power if I put them after the X pipe opposed to putting them right off the headers, but then I will have to relocate my mufflers since my mufflers are under the rear seats right now. I don't what this just for sound, mainly for more power. I think after the X. What do you guys think?

waste of money! dual cutouts hurt lowend power. save the money for something else, suspension or other go-fast goodies

You basicly have dual cutouts already if you are running bullets.

i have my dual cutouts right after my longtubes, and i made 15rwhp with them open versus goin through my SLP loudmouth catback. looks good to me, and that was when i just had a hotcam.

Guys,

I have Kooks LTs/No cats/Edlebrock mufflers dumped right now. Need to eventually go over the axle and figure the best place to uncap would be where my mufflers reside today. Thinking about running chambered mufflers after the axle too.

i love the sound. its like having open headers. i am actually thinking of selling my mccord powerplates. i just got one back from them b/c it got broke and they fixed it. now the other one just quit working. as far as the heat goes, it should be alright, there should be enough air blowing on them to keep them from burning up b/c they do hang fairly low. i probably have about 4 or 5 inches of ground clearance under them and if you arent careful, they will drag, but not necessarily the powerplates. just the actual cutout will drag. the powerplates sit slightly about the bottom of the cutout.

Thats what I thought too, until I dynoed my dual cutouts off the headers and gained an average of 50rwtq from 2500 to 5500rpm, and a gain of 20rwtq at peak. I only gained about 2rwhp across the graph from 2500 to 6500rpm. So there may have been more issues.

Ferocity tell me you are kidding??

RWTQ * rpm / 5252 = RWHP

If you gained 50 RWTQ at 5500RPM, then you gained 53 RWHP at 5500 RPM

I would ask for your money back on that dyno run????????
