slp ls6 egr block off...
I ended up just using that liquid steel epoxy, like what's used for tb's,to seal up the hole. Its been like that for over a year with no problems. If you do use a freeze plug,be real careful when tightening it.

I mean there has to be something that you can just screw on to it as well. Instead of hammering it.
Maybe a cap that is used for plumbing or something? I found this cast iron cap that would work, but it would look like **** in the process...maybe I will go back and see if I can find some copper caps at lowes.

I guess I should go back and ask for a rubber one?
On mine,I took the pipe off of the intake.I couldnt get the rubber freeze plug to seal,so I just epoxied it shut.
You can see in this pic where I epoxied it.

Yeah I am trying to get somethin on that threaded pipe. Would that rubber expansion plug work at all? is that the one that you tried?
I am also not looking to ruin it in a way...I would like to still have the option of using the EGR later on...or if I sell this for the FAST setup I would like it still work and all...
Used to work at a plumbing company as well...so that helps.
3/4" Brass plug - looks pretty good as well on the car cause its brass and all.

Glad you got it takken care of.
**** man I am too; pain in the *** but I can finally get rid of EGR and AIR

Hey thanks for the help as well...along with everyone else
The fitting is nothing more than a compression style tube fitting similar to a Swagelok, Hylock, Parker, Yor-Lok, etc. All I did was left the fitting in the intake but used what is called a 'Plug' in tube fitting terms in place of the nut that came with the fitting. Note that these are NOT the same type of compression fittings that you would pick up in a hardware store for use on copper line (for eg. when plumbing dishwaser supply or ice maker supply) The ferrules inside the fittings are entirely different between the two.
The fitting is a 3/4" Tube OD so the Swagelok P/N is B-1210-P (where the 'B' denotes brass)
Go here: Swagelok Tube Fitting Plug to view the part. Type in the P/N from above and hit 'Go' it will take you right to the part I mention.
Or if you want you can got here: McMaster Carr Search on Brass Tube Fittings - got to bottom of page 123 and you will see the Yor-Lok Brass Compression Tube Fitting Plug #5272K136 $4.57/ea.
Sorry - neither one of these sites would allow me to link directly to the page of their catalog in question...
This is the cleanest and best method of sealing off that port. You don't have to modify the intake in any way and using this method is completely reversible - you can unscrew the plug and use the nut with your egr tube any time.
I did the EGR Mod to my 2000 TA not too long ago and had problems with Vacuum leaks. I ended up buying that expensive "O" ring from a GM dealer and used a bunch of Teflon tape to amke a pretty good seal. Fast forward to now, I got the car back from the dealer, after I needed somework done to it, new windshield wiper moter and module. I noticed that it was idling higher than normal but would go back down to around 700. I took my trusty HP programer and Teflon tape out to the driveway and I thought I had fixed everything. Now the car is idling weird again. I am thinking about getting rid of the EGR but am confused, the whole sailor thing again. What size plug would you use for both the intake and the exhaust manifolds? How would I attach it to the Intake manifold, I didn't see anything to screw it into. Thanks in advance.
