I'm sure you could get some pipe to install tips onto and hang them up in there...but since they wont be connected to anything you will need to make sure they are snug and won't rattle or move.

Just leave the stock muffler and tips on there. You might have to leave some of the pipe that goes over the axle, seems like there is a hanger that is on that part just after it goes over the axle. Unless you're trying to get rid of some weight, that might be a good way to do it and still look stock on a WS6.

It has been raining here so I know it is filthy, those are the pipes off my LM catback, solid mounted so they don't move at all.

Yea, I was thinking that you could use the rear section of a LM too if you could find one cheap. Or you could have a muffler shop fab up one easy. There's not much to it.

Thanks. I just left the pipe from where it connected over the axle and added 2 hangers by the tips so that it would not move at all. easy as can be and doesn't leave any open spots in the bumper.

maybe i'm just bold and don't care about legality with such things. but i've had many 80's monte carlo's with TD's dumped before the axle. never had a problem with cops looking under the car or such when i would get pulled over for something. if i were to do true duals on my camaro they would be dumped before the axle or fabricated to go out under the bumper. none of this "lets make it look like it comes out the whole way thing but it don't thing". kinda tacky in my opinion. you guys have nice cars, don't make them tacky.

im just curious why people are doing this. Is it because you have really strict cops or do you like the look of tips out back. I know it would be worth having corsa tips with TD just for the look. But i never thought a cop would go so far as looking under the car for illegal exhaust unless he has some spare time.

If I had a Camaro then I wouldn't worry about tips, but although I may be TACKY with having fake tips. My car doesn't look incomplete by having 2 big cutouts in the rear bumper with nothing but air in them. You don't have to look hard to see a TA without tail pipes. There is no looking under the car just look at the cutouts in the bumper.

on a camaro dumps look just fine and I think they actually look better but on a TA with the cut out in the bumper it just looks funny with nothing there.

some places in order to pass inspection..you have to have the exhaust routed to the back of the car, but even so..in this case it wouldn't matter cause they would know that it is dumped. I don't really see the point in doing this either...it adds extra weight for no reason.

i know what you T/A guys mean about the cutouts in the bumper. in the case of being worried so much about getting caught by the cops either find a competent exhaust shop to make the duals come out through the cutouts in the bumper or just stick with a catback. making dummy tips is IMO sort of ricer like.
