Default Just Ordered FAST 78mm Manifold/TB

What will I need for the install, so I can install it the day it arrives? Where can I get it or them, if anything is needed? Thanks, I am really excited about it.

Should just bolt up. Just make sure you keep all the bolts off the old intake incase you need them and use the valley cover bolts that come with the LSX!

If you already have the LS6 intake on your car, I'd return that 78mm FAST intake for a 90mm version. If you only have a LS1 intake, I'd still get the 90mm version while you're spending all that money.

And that is it? Is it easier installing an LSX intake than an LS6 manifold because on wwwLS1HowTo.com they say something about plugging up some holes. Maybe I won't have to do that with the LSX intake. Anyone with any experience, oh yeah the car is a 99 WS6.

If you are going from an ls1 intake to a FAST intake, the required steps are the same as installing the ls6 intake on ls1howto.com. The only additional task for the FAST intake is transferring the MAP sensor mounting piece and then sealing it to the new intake.

I have never done that before. Are there instructions that come with the manifold? Do you know? If not, how hard is it and where could I find out how to do it?

I have never installed one before. I know I have seen threads that describe how to do it, try a search. I'll see if I can find something as well.

Through the searching I've done, it looks like the MAP sensor itself just sits a little loose at the back of the FAST intake. Do a search for FAST + MAP and you will see a few threads on how to seal it better.

dont waste your money on a 78mm...yes it is better than a ls1 intake but if your going to spen the money save alittle longer and get the 90/90 setup you wont regret it and the install is gonna be the same....or if you dont want to spend the extra moeny by a ls6 and port your stock throttle body and save the extra cash...your going to regret getting the 78mm in the future...

So I don't need any tubes or anything special to bolt on the new FAST manifold?

My 78fast manifold came with no gaskets, either reuse your old or just buy new.I bought new fel pro gaskets through Rock Auto online,17 for intakes and 7 for tb gaskets. You will also need to buy the coolant lines for the ls6 manifold set up(2 rear plugs & frt coolant line).Fast sells them but I am ordering through GMDIRECT,for the money you would think they would include everything.
