Default Edelbrock LT headers install pictures

About a month ago I bought some Edelbrock long tube headers and I installed them last weekend. See installed pictures below.
The pictures of the headers before I installed them can be seen at the link below.

https://ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/405299-edelbrock-fully-welded-headers-pics.html

The header and Y-pipe install was easy. The headers slipped right in from the bottom and the Y-pipe fits well although it was kind of tough getting it to slip on the collectors but after about 10min of pushing it back and forth it went on. The headers and Y-pipe tuck up well but having a 3-1/2” collector they do hang down a bit.

Overall the fit and finish of the headers is good. I have about 200 miles on them and the Ti-Tech coating is still looking great.

The car feels stronger but only the time slip will tell for sure.

The exhaust sounds smoother and deeper than it did with the MACs and it is also louder.

I am running the stock I-pipe into a single in/out Dynomax Ultra Flo muffler.

The headers are $395 and the Y-pipe is $105. I bought them from Kris at Scoggin-Dickey Parts Center.

I wonder if these headers would be overkill on just a bolt-on car. I plan on a cam later, just not for a while.

Dynomax makes a 3" ipipe for $100. Its not stainless steel though.

How do you like the sound now with edelbrocks? Does it sound good. Less raspy?
