Oil catch can, anyone use them
Check this out:

Pretty cheap and problematic in the LS1 and the GN. I may just buy two. Anyone use these particular ones?

I have an AMW catch can, and it works great. When my LS6 intake came off there was a small puddle of oil in the bottom of it, and oil gunk around the intake ports on the heads. After seeing that, and having to clean it up I'm glad that I bought a catch can before my FAST 90 and NW TB went on.

How do these things work? (you can call me stupid...I don't mind) I've heard of a mod where you drill two 1/2" holes in each plastic lifter tray to increase oil return flow. Would this accomplish the same thing?
I have my engine/tranny ripped outta my car. In a few weeks, I'm installing AFR heads, Comp cam, and a FAST 90/90 intake. Would one of these catch cans be a worthwhile investment? Would it be a good "compliment" to the parts I am going to install?

of the way the oiling system is set up .
Yes, most likely. Even a stock LS1 can suffer KR and
combustion chamber/piston top buildup from the oil
mist getting recycled via our pcv system. GM could
have incorporated one and called it an "improvement",
but, hey, we'd have one less thing to "mod", huh.
