Sounds like a GREMLIN to me! Check your battery cables and your GROUNDS first. Ground wire cause all kinda wierd problems sometimes. You can go have the code scanned for free at autozone, make sure you tell them to clear it too so it'll go away.

Sounds like what happened to me when the starter wire caught on fire cuz I had accidently routed it too close to my header (aka, it was sitting on it)

Try rocking the battery back and forth. If it moves, you've found the problem.

Man that sucks, but I enjoyed the alien response. I am usually thinking pretty serious when people need help and I thought that guy knew what the problem was at first.

But anyways definitely check wiring. Doubt it is a ground wire. More like something happened with the computer, or some kind of short on the power side. Surprised something like that did not blow fuses or burn something up.

Does anyone have a wiring schematic for our cars?

My car acted very similar when my alternator went out the other day. Shortly before the battery went dead all the guages and lights were freaking out but I doubt that's your problem.

Wierd things happen when you lose a Ground. That is most likely your problem. Check all of your grounds, you probably have a loose wire somewhere.
