Default Coil Pack Re-Location Kit

Guys, what kits have you used and what do you like/dislike about them. They will be used on a car which has the cowl removed for my sb2 intake on a motor with c5-r heads. Thanks.

There are a few that a really pricey. I think most of the kits come with all wires and everything. I love the way it cleans up the engine compartment a little more. If you have fancy looking valve covers they would look even better in my opinion.

Well in my case this will be needed as my c5-r valve covers do not have mounting provisions. Nor, in my opinion, do the big nasty coil packs do anything for visuals on the valve covers. Thanks.

I suppose it's all a matter of what your priorities are...for me, I liked the cleaner appearance and my aftermarket covers didn't have coil mounting provisions, so it wasn't a waste of time or money. I went with the Thunder Racing kit...the only change I made was to swap out the included hardware for stainless pieces...I highly recommend this kit...

I made my own kit. Kind of like the Thunder Racing kit but mine is polished aluminum. If you under the cowl you can see them back by the firewall. Here's some pics for the guy that wanted some...

Sorry, these are crappy pics...it's hard to see the coil relocation, but if you concentrate , you can see the coil packs under the cowl:

Go to Lowe's and get yourself 3 feet of threaded rod. Get 8 nylon lock nuts to match. Get some rubber fuel line to seperate the coils. String the coils on the rod seperated by rubber fuel line. Install nuts up to outside coils. Measure 1.5" away and put a second nut. Cut rod. Repeat for other side. Drill 4 holes in plastic part of cowl. Run zip tie through holes and loop between the 2 end nuts on the rod. Costs about $12.00 in parts.
Let me find a few pics of mine:
