Spark plug question
I have developed a terrible miss in the car. Dealer said #2 misfiring then refused to work on it because it had an exhaust and air lid. Oh yeah..and subframe connectors. (thats another topic) I pulled #1,3,5 & 6 plug today and the white part of the spark plug is a pinkish, white color.
Has anyone ever seen this before? I thought I should see a browinsh color.
2001 Pontiac TA WS6, the plugs that came with the car were Jensen plugs. Were anyone else's plugs Jensen?

I just pulled the #7 plug and it was a chocolate brown wet color, exactly what I was anticipating the rest to look like, but the rest were pink. Some closer to red than pink. I've seen this happen when you add fuel additives like octane boost, but I have'nt added anything like that.
There is also a terrible knocking in the engine area that I did'nt notice before. Does'nt sound terrible but it's there. Any ideas gentlemen?
Thanks
Brent
The dealer would not repair the car, or work on it under warranty. He stated that "because it looked like a race car" he would'nt even touch it. Im not afraid one bit to mention that it is Beck and Masten Pontiac in Houston TX. This a-hole service manager has been my nemesis since I got the car. He has refused every bit of warranty work I've requested, and I have had to constantly argue with him. This time he refused to fix it period. It still has the OEM tires and they look brand new. The car has had excellent care taken care of it and this is what I have to deal with. Im really pissed at this dealer today, can you tell?

I have found out the problem with the car and its not pretty. The headgasket is blown which probably caused a bent puch rod or damaged piston. Regardless, the dealer still won't work on the car under warrnaty although I have not added and-ons that would have caused this to happen. And now I want to fight it.
I was told by the shop working on the car now, that there is a law or statute that states the owner's rights under circumstances like mine, where the dealer refuses to honor the warranty.
Can anyone cite this law or statute, or direct me to where I can find it?
Forum director: Sorry if this is the wrong forum but there is'nt a forum for legal battles.

But after a bit of research, and some help from the guys here the Magnuson-Moss Warrant act states that (in layman's terms) that a manufacturer cannot deny a warranty claim based on the fact that the vehicle has bolt on modifications, unless the damage to that vehicle was attributed to those particular add ons.
After stating that in a letter to Beck and Masten Pontiac in Houston Texas, they still refused the claim, stating that bolt ons void your warranty. Its like beating a dead horse. Guess its time to get out the old lawyer!!
Anyone else here want to give me a written statement that a Airlid, SLP exhaust system, Throttle body bypass kit and a cutout could not cause a headgasket to blow? Please contact me or send it to my e-mail address brentws6@directvinternet.com
Thanks to all who do!
