LS6 valley cover + vertical PCV =
no oil at all on the pcv valve
used to be saturated (could pull the PCV after idling and it was very oily). Now the PCV looks nice and clean (DRY).
Looks like this is THE pcv fix
These are just my observations

Can you give alittle insight on the parts needed as well as P/n? How long did this swap take and did you have to modify the block or the heads? I have LS6 heads and intake on my 99 vette and desperately searching for a fix for this oil problem. Thanks for the help!

Re: LS6 valley cover + vertical PCV =
don't remember the part number (just asked for the ls6 valley cover from valvegod)...should be easy to search on this forum.
had to cut off one boss on the block...really easy it was just used for block alignment during factory assembly so I am told, at first glance there is no structural/operational value to this boss. then the valley cover bolts right up. I took the 2 lines on the valvecovers and just looped them together to seal the valvecovers (removed the y-fitting that had a line running to the PCV). Then I just did a similar vertical PCV mod as is shown all over this site

I'm doubt its any better but the LS6 PCV hose costs more than the damn valley cover haha...so I just retained my vertical PCV that didn't work with the factory pcv. I'll try to snap some pics

Re: LS6 valley cover + vertical PCV =
LS6 cover pulls the oil vapor from under the valley cover where the oil is more stagnant and further away from the pickup.
STD LS1 PCV pulls from the valvecover which is really close to pooling oil and the oil is splasing around from the valvetrain

Re: LS6 valley cover + vertical PCV =
I wonder if this would work on an iron block? Also, doesn't the tube hookup come out between the passenger side head and the TB?
The truck PCV system sucks too. My throttle was sticking a little going from closed to open so I checked and the amount of grimy buildup around and behind the TB blade was unreal.
Hmmmm....Loop the valvecover ports together or go with a set of nice high welded valvecovers that don't have holes in them.

This really needs some pics, and to be archived for future reference. If anybody could send me some pics, it would be a big help, because I'm just not picturing this in my head. I think I can figure it out though I want to be shure.

PCV pulls right from the front of the valley cover...back of the valve covers (where normal LS1 pcv is pulled) is blocked off
