Once I find somebody in my area that can delete that part of the program, I will be removing both systems. I am sick of hearing (my neigbors also) the popping coming from Air system check valves. Also, less junk to unhook during spark plug changes. Something my car is over due for!

I plan on doing this as soon as I get the block off plates and gaskets. What handheld tuner will delete the codes?

So what does AIR stand for and what does it technically do/purpose?
I am in the market for headers and I am concerned about passing emissions if I do no air egr headers

I believe the Air warms up the cats or something like that.

I dont see why you guys want to spend the money (as little as it may be) to delete these things that hurt your MPG, give you 0% hp gain, and increase the likely hood of failing your inspection.

The only purpose of doing this I have seen so far is to "clean up the motor". If one was making a show car with everything chrome I could understand, but for the daily drivers I dont see why.

I'm in the market for headers too, and IMO, I think it would be a lot easier being able to just install race headers and delete the codes so you don't have to worry about block off plates and all of that other stuff. I think that's the biggest advantage.

if there is no place on top of your intake maifold near the throttle body with a 1 3/8 inch hole with a plug in it and two places for 10 mm bolts then you have an LS6 manifold, congradulations. No what you want to do is unbolt it and send it to me for free, I'll pay shipping

Im ordering Pacesetter LT's (race setup) and want to delete EGR & AIR. Is the only thing I need to do this, the block off plate/plug for the LS1 intake? Any help would be great!!

Yes guys, all you need is a 1-3/8" adjustable freeze plug for the manifold if you get the "Race" headers.
