Help me drop 3 tenths.....
I've got a 2002 Z28 A4 2.73.
Mods: SLP lid, cutout, HPP3, Nitto DRs
Typical times: 13.2@105.6 2.0x
Thanks for sharing your knowledge to help me keep from wasting my money on useless or poor bang-for-the-buck mods.
If you break the rear axle, GM is going to say you were racing, careless etc so you really have no warranty there, so gears is not much of a risk. 3.42s or 3.73s would probably get you .3. Beside you don't need highway gears (2.73) where you live. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
A 2600 stall converter like the SLP / Yank 2600 will be almost impossible to detect, even when they drive your car. It uses the stock housing so even if they take your tranny apart, they can't detect it. With 2.73s, the 2600 is good for .3 also.

ASP underdrive pulley, cutout, Fast Toys Ram Air (maybe not if your car is a daily driver), ET Streets, Yank ST-3500 or Vig 3200 converter, B&M tranny cooler. I would not recommend that you change rear end gears, at this stage of your car its not neccessary. These mods alone should easily drop about .8 off of your ET.

Ragtop 99, you read me right from the beginning. I do consider a TC swap a PITA. The easy LS1 mods have spoiled me (no use for my gallon-sized greasy hand cleaner anymore). I've become a lazy ****, LOL.
TC will be a mod to be made in 2 years, 5 months from now. Since gears and a TC compliment one another, gears may be the way to go, for me in my situation (mainly rush hour traffic-type driving).
Got me thinking about the pulley and FTRA too. Thanks again for all of the input!
