Is the Meziere LS1 Electric Water Pump actually worth the $529.99, I mean whast kind of power do you typically see with this mod?? Is it worth it,im adding heads,cam,ls6 i-m,headers,cat ypip. Would the Meziere go good with this set-up, if i added an underdrive pulley, or even by itself.

I like the pump. I see very cool temperatures at idle. It's nice to be able to cool the car down after some hard runs by just switching on the key. I did not feel a seat of the pants difference with it. It's an easy install. Every little bit adds up.
If you have the money, go for it.

I don't think an electric waterpump is a great idea on a street car, unless you've got a bunch of money to blow. You won't gain much power at all from it. It's main benefit is said above, you can cool the car down with your waterpump and radiator fans without the motor running......more suited to a track car.

Thats everything thats going on, heads, cam, intake, headers etc.... And i was wondering if i added the meziere and an undrdrive pulley if it would make a difference. But personally i think i will spend that 500 elsewhere like drag radials. help my 60' its horrible.

power wise its 3-5hp tops not much, but the car will run cooler and you will have control of the pump weather the car is on or off. i added in a switch so when im in the pits or staging lanes just flip it on and cools the motor for the next run. also makes it alot easier to refill the coolant takes seconds compared to add a little wait , add some more wait. now add flip switch and keep adding till full. almost no air in the system upon start-up

i idled my SS earlier today for 20 minutes and the aftermarket temp gauge barley broke 100 degrees.
i have heads cam headers pulley all boltons and i dont regret getting the pump. i forget but i think advertised performance gain is like 5 or 10 hp on the top end but the peace of mind of a cool running engine on those hot summer days/nights when its race after race; i like it.
from a performance only stand point go with the drag radials.

i installed this pump and an underdrive pulley a few days later, i did notice the little performance increase with the water pump and nothing with the underdrive pulley... i think the water pump alone would of been better for me. i only have bolt ons, but one thing i dont like is a hot engine, so i got an electric pump, a 160 temp stat, and tuned my fans to come on alil over 160. as for it being worth the money that depends on how much you like a cooler running engine with alil freeer reving. it was alot of money to me. but i think it was a better value then say an underdrive pulley, im happy with it, alil bit of a pain to put on mostly because the gaskets are hard to keep positioned but the intake manifold and throttle body grinding is easy and only requirse a very small amount of material to be removed... maybe if i installed the pulley first i would of noticed more with the pulley, but i didnt notice any diff with it after installing the water pump and they both claim around 10hp increase so maybe its the same reason why -water pump parasitic loss.so its cooler running engine + a small performance gain vs.500$.
