im also in the process of replacing the mounts and it SUCKS!!
me and my dad are working on it and the passenger side went in easy, the driver side clamshell is bolted to engine but the 18mm bolt is off by 1/4" from going through. im gonna try to loosen the pedastal to play around with it, hope it works.
this is so frustrating!

Here's a good pic of the install. If anyone really is getting discouraged about this install, just know that EVENTUALLY it WILL line up for you. In my case i had my motor jacked up with a wal-mart carjack overnight. . ,i know. . .im poor shut up, The following morning I attempted to tackle the second bolt after I already had the 1st one in. So I get up under the car and it SLIDES RIGHT IN with no effort. So I get up and go over to my floor jack and realize. . . its not supporting the engine at all. I was like. . "wtf?"
Bottom line. . . it will go in when it wants to. lol

i had ZERO problems with my mounts.....then again i was doing the headers too........what made it so easy was i took out the pedestal with the mount.......food for thought

Anyone have a vibration issue after installing poly motor mounts? I just ordered some.... Also, is it a bad idea to run stock trans mount with poly motor mounts? I have a poly motor mount and I am debating on going back to stock on account of the horrible vibration it has caused.
