** The best poly motor mount write up ever written **
Thanks!
That being said, who wants to buy mine?

There are plenty of 9 second cars running stock trans mounts.
Poly engine mounts, on the other hand, are worth their weight in gold!

Now, in my Volkswagen i put poly engine mounts in and yeah it vibrated but nothing major.
Since you've already got a poly trans mount, and your about to go with poly engine mounts, if you experience some harsh interstate vibrations then I'd invest in a regular trans mount. The stock engine mounts might be obsorbing a lot of vibrations that you can't feel yet. Maybe not though. Just don't cuss your new poly engine mounts right away because they'll serve a bigger purpose than the stiffer trans mount.
On a side note: I put a poly torque arm mount in when I did my clutch and poly trans mount and I can't say for sure that it did anything!
When I did mine on the 94 t/a I did one side at a time, starting with the driver's side. For the life of me I could not get the driver's side to get back in, so I got pissed and gave up for the day. My dad suggested checking the levelness of the car. Sure enough I checked the levelness, fixed the jack stands, and it fell right into place.
I also used a jack underneath the engine to pivot it up and down until I could get the bolt to just slide right in. Just had one person bringing it up and down for me by marginal amounts.
Driver's side took me 7 hours, passenger's side took maybe 2. This was with the manifolds already pulled, getting ready for LT's.
I'm going to be tackling this soon in the Camaro along with headers, I'm not sure if there is much of a difference between the LS1 and LT1 as far as this goes, but I feel like it is going to be so much easier the second time around.
The Best V8 Stories One Small Block at Time
through bolt 70 lb ft
pedastal bolts 43lb ft
If you just loosen the through bolt and take out the mount to block and pedastal to k-member bolts it comes out as one piece. That way you don't have to do anything with the a/c compressor or alternator.
Different car, different structure and setup, different results I'm hoping.
Going from a set of "don't notice anything wrong" rubber mounts with (I'd guess) 120k on the clock... to poly mounts...
and then swapping the same age transmission mount with a 1LE stock mount....
would this be a good setup for someone that can handle a little vibration but doesn't want everything in his center console rattling around t-rex style every time he presses on the gas??
