well ls6 intakes flow well over the weiand and this barly beats the weiand on top end so unless you plan on a blower or porting or larger cubes i would say stick with ls6 intake. it runs very well on my 383 so far untuned but its a little too flashy to me. i got out of mustangs and into my camaro because it looked to much like a race car and not a street car. This intake makes it look like more of a race car to me. ive already had 3 people think i have nitrous because of the braided steel fuel line.

I am waiting also. I do not want or expect this manifold to flow like a FAST, as their level of power comes at a price. What I am waiting for is a comparison to LS6! Cant wait till 14th- get paid that day too! Byunspeed, I recommend having a few more than 10 manifolds standing by.. If this thing flows as good or better than the LS6, you are gonna be a busy person!!

Anything new on this? I might be interested in replacing the LS1 intake my SS has if it's worth it. I need an intake anyway

1. the npt fitting in rear for brake booster is covered by the oil pressure sending unit. cannot use it.

FIX used a 3/8 tee on other side to feed both vacuums

2. the way the map sensor is attached interferes with oil pressure sending unit. cannot plug both in

FIX I ran a bead of silicone around the map sensor and pointed the connector straight up.

3. the fitting for the stock fuel hose is a tad to long. wouldnt plug in.

FIX i trimmed aabout 1/16 off the end

4. the throttle/cruise cable braket interferes with the fuel rail

FIX i trimmed 1/3 inch off the side.

5. stock valley cover bolts are too tall not allowing the intake to seat up.

FIX went to autozone and bought shorter head bolts

6. you cannot use ls1 style coolant crossover tubes.

FIX bought ls6 style crossover tube.

All in all the intake is very nice. not alot of flshings. pretty smooth inside and out. I expected some flaws since it was so new. and the ones it has are easy fixes. Im happy and just hope it makes some power.

Any updates on this?????????

I too want to see results of this new intake vs. an ls6 intake. If it is equal to or better than the ls6, i will buy that bitch on the spot. I will get the Satin finish for two reasons. one, the lower cost, and two because polished wouldnt go with my car

I had a flat spot in my dyno graph around 5200. just quit pulling. Thought maybe exaust so put dual cutouts behind headers, no help, thought maybe intake, swaped to an ls6 and it didnt fix it. I think my problem is in valve float. it has patriot gold springs but the motor sat for a year or more so it might have a few dead ones.

I have the polished 85mm one in my garage. Its going on with dyno runs before and after I replace my LS6 with it next Friday(14th). I will post the results in this thread along with making another in this forum. Patients is a virtue. And by the way, I should have an LS6 intake manifold for sale on the 14th if anyone is interested.

I already have a LS6 in case these intakes are a flop I'm just waiting for results. It almost has to produce some gains with the larger inlet diameter unless the intake is just plain garbage.

That's what I"m thinking especially with the 85mm throttle body. That's why I'm ordering the combo this afternoon.
