Arch, sorry I can't give you the numbers, but, you have to CAREFULLY bend the EGR tube back to cut it once it's unbolted. Make sure you cover up the intake. Clean out the inside of the tube as far as you can to remove debris, and slide the O-ring back onto the tube and CAREFULLY tighten the bolt back down. Quick, simple and free. If you don't slide the O-ring back on and get it seated, you will end up getting a SES due to the engine running lean. I didnt get the O-ring seated and mine leaked just enough vaccum to set the light off after about a week or so. Good-Luck.

Justin, the most you can get outta it is the peace of mind that a little tube is not protruding into your intake therefore distrubing the airflow. Sorry, no numbers. The only codes will be something like P000170 and 169 or something, basically running lean, and only if you do not get the o-ring back on right and tightened down. If you do it right, there will be no code and all will be smooth. Good luck.

It's about a 10 minute job. I would think it would give more gains than a ported tb. If you see how much space that tube takes up where the air flows you will see what I mean. No codes, ect. Just make sure the rubber grommet doesnt fall in, and that you get it sealed up good.

Yeah, its really not that big of a deal. Just make sure to cover up the hole while your cutting. I had no adverse affects from the mod, and i've had it done for about a year. I didn't notice any performance gain from it. I suppose that i may be .001 seconds faster then a car without the mod. But hey, that's still .001 seconds!! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Big Grin]" src="gr_grin.gif" />

Have had mine done for a few years now now code or problems. I hope it done as much as a ported tb but your guess is as good as mine. Do just dont bend the tube too hard.

I did the mod it was pretty easy. I'm not all that mechanically inclined either, but the key it seems is to be gentle with the tubing (not bend) and get it sealed back properly. I didn't get the SES light. Can't say that I noticed a SOTP difference but the car certainly didn't run any worse...

Who cares about the gains? it is free, does not throw codes, and can't hurt. <img border="0" title="" alt="[Wink]" src="gr_images/icons/wink.gif" />
