Bought my car w/ a DS MAF. What replacment should I get?
I dunno I've driven my uncles 00 SS before and I swear somthing seems different and I think its that stupid descreened MAF. My question is, instead of getting a replacement one should I spend the extra money and get the ls1 calibrated Z06 one from SLP?
Thoughts, opinions, ideas??

BTW, good friend of mine got that "tuned 85mm SLP maf", ya, its crap. it made his car run like ****. At idle his STFT were +25, LTFT +25. he made a 100mile round trip and used 3/4 tank. there crap. took it off put on a stock and the car ran just fine. Just a little bit of .02

There's descreened, and there's ported, ported is
going to hose your tune but simple descreening
has minimal effect on a straight-tract F-body
setup, for most.
A SLP MAF that jacks the trims by -25% has most
likely lost its "calibration" resistor. A SLP MAF that
makes +25% LTFTs is just messed up. In any case
you would be money ahead to get a junkyard MAF
of the stock style and either run it as-is, or swap
its ends onto the known-good (?) plastic electronics
body.

Coincidentally I have a stock MAF for sale however, to offer an answer to your question I see it as two main options:
a). you are NOT getting a full tune anytime soon. In this case, definately stick with the stock MAF, if you have to purchase one. You won't be leaving any hp on the table and you will be sure that it would be calibrated for your vehicle.
or
b) you are getting a full tune. Definately get the ls1 calibrated Z06 MAF from PACE, since you are purchasing a MAF anyway, and are going to be getting a prof tune. Do NOT get it from SLP for a variety of reasons....point being, you have an opportunity to get the bigger part and unlike most options have to purhase one way or another, for obviously a calculated risk in the cost/performance ratio.
