Default What order to buy these?

Would you buy headers first or 4.10s for the m6. Im looking best bang for the buck wise. Also would I run out of gear with 4.10s in 4th gear in the quarter on stock 17's.

It's almost not worth changing the gears in a M6, since that rear will break that much sooner. I would almost say save the money for a new rear, but definetley headers first

Good decision, headers are the way better choice. Installing 4.10's in a stock rear is like pissing in the wind. Save your money for a 12-bolt or 9".

With heads/cam and 4.10's you will run out of gear before the traps unless you have a tall tire mounted on them 17's.

Peace,
Craig.

With the stock 6150 rev limiter or whatever he has, he might run out of gear with the mods he has, considering his current trap speed. I'm trapping 117.5 mph and mine is pretty close to running out of gear even with a 6700 rev limiter. This is on 315/35/r17 nittos. I'm worried about hitting it when I'm trapping 120.

Anyway, 4.10's in a 10-bolt is certain death. Hell, 3.42's is certain death after a little more time.

Thats why I was saying with heads/cam he will/could run out of gear, I did.
I had a 6,600rpm rev limiter, 245/50/16 Nitto Drag tires and could not get a good 60' about 1.9, I was bouncing off the limiter and did 12.1 @ 119.69mph.
With 26" E/T streets I cut a 1.7 60' and hit 118mph, but my rpm's were around 6,000-6,100 through the traps.

Peace,
Craig.

So I guess that's how guys are trapping 130 with 4.56's in a 6-speed car. Throw a set of 28's on there and you'll damn near cross the line still in 3rd!

I almost ran out of gear with boltons, stock limiter, and 4.11's trapping 108 on my nittos. First time I ever ran it at the track, and was almost on the limiter, I was sure that pass was 115mph! Needless to say I was disappointed with the slips.

Yea tire size is everything, more so with gears, also if they have a soild cam with a 7000+ rev limiter.

I had 4.10's in my 12-bolt with my 427 for a while (now 3.73's), hated rowing them gears like there's no tomorrow. I can't imagine 4.56 gears!

Peace,
Craig.
