Default Hooker Cat-Back Broke?!?!

Has anybody had problems with this cat-back? Mine sounded good for a while now it seems to change pitch from time to time and every once in a while it has a rattle to it like an exhaust heat shield. I thought it was coming from the collector area but it is the muffler, sounds like a baffle or two broke the welds and are vibrating on each other. Has anybody else had this problem with theirs?!?!

I've had mine for about a year now. I'm chasing a rattle, too.

The inch-wide band clamp holding the cat-back to the y-pipe has been my problem. Occasionally, I hear rattling coming from the back but I haven't been able to reproduce it on demand. It could be a heat shield on the gas tank, I think.

This week I got a new, stronger bolt to really close up the clamp. The noise has gone away but I'm still evaluating things.

I thought the same thing happened to mine but it turned out to be
pieces of a disentigrated cat in the muffler.

ORY pipe on it, been on there since 10K miles, so I doubt it is a cat., I removed all of the exhaust heat shields except for the ones around the tank. I've checked all of my clamps and they are all tight. I will check the heat shield around the tank and the rear axle. Any other ideas? It seems to only do it when the car is in gear, like sitting at a stop light or very light throttle cruise at lower speeds (20-35mph) intermittently.

Rattles are sometimes hard to track down. It might be time to pull the muffler from the car and give it a shake and a look inside. Maybe something broke loose inside.
