Default Does anyone use an electric water pump?

I was doing some thinking the other day about some stuff i read here before. i want to get an ASP pulley but i am not a big fan of some of the problems that go w/ it. I also remember than everyone said that the water pump is the thing that sucks the power, about 10-15 hp or something like that(correct me if im wrong). so is there an electric one available and does anyone use it? i just cant remember who makes it...

There are a few folks around here runnin the Meziere pump. The problem is that it's not really a driect "bolt-on." I don't think that there is any provision for the heater or a thermostat. It's more of a race application.

I have a Moroso electirc waterpump drive kit on my car, but I don't think it would be up to the task of cooling a street driven car.

Meziere is supposed to be coming out with a direct bolt-on electric water pump sometime in the future.

Right now, I don't know how long it will be before it goes back in.

Like George said, it's not a direct bolt in if you wanna retain your ac/heater. Otherwise it's a rather simple modification, cools fine on the street, looks good, and has to free up some power. Other than the pump, you'll also need the Meziere tensioner and you can run with/without your power steering depending upon how you route the belt.

Here are the pics you desire:

Bad thing about this is that u cant but the tensioner from Mezeire anymore. They are in the process of making the new version wich will be avaible in the next 2 to 3 months. So anybody have a tensioner they wanna sell?? <img border="0" title="" alt="[Smile]" src="gr_stretch.gif" />
