Exhaust hitting Crossmember
Anyways, for some reason the exhaust is hitting that xmember... anything I can do to fix the problem?
I dont see anything that can hold it up, but for now i just jammed something in there.
ANy ideas? Thanks
what are you talking about?

well, i replaced the transmission lastweek.
Let me say it again, as my post was kind of confusing, there is a crossmember between the transmission crossmember, and the rear differential. My exhaust is hitting that piece, and making a noise.
I dont see anything that would hold the exhaust up from hitting this piece. Right now, i just jammed a piece of wood between the exhaust and this crossmember to stop the banging noise.
Sorry if i confuse you.

You can also try to make some spacers for your stock one to drop it down if you really want to keep it on there.
nothing has changed on the exhaust.
The only thing I can think of was a clip or whatever was loose on the pipe, it looked like this:

anyways, it was ratteling, and i saw it broke off, but i looked at the exhaust, and you could see where it went, and it was just around the pipe, not doing anything, theres another one on there just sitting there, doing nothing.
edit* this clip came off a few months ago, but from what i can remember, the car always made the sound
