Cool Ordered My Exhaust!

I have ordered the following:

QTP LT w/HVMC
QTP Catted Y
24" Oxygen Sensor Extensions

Corsa 4.0 Catback

I plan on doing a dyno tune as well. Anyone know of a go place to go for a Dyno Tune in the Detroit, MI area or the Rochester, NY area?

Let me know what you think and if there is anything else I should be aware of!

Take your time installing the catted Y. Not the best ground clearance on that Y.

You will love the QTP's though. Look like art and you will want to just keep them around the house they look so good.

Thanks I will. QTP assured me that the y fits well if the time is taken to adjust it correctly.

It may take a while for everything to get shipped don't plan on getting them for a while in the end you'll be happy though I also went with the QTP LT's with their 3" Y and 2 of their qtec cutouts followed by a corsa catback with pro tips.

I sent an e-mail to confirm deliveries and QTP told me 2-3 weeks, could be sooner! The Corsa system should be here Saturday!

I hope I don't need a BFH for adjusting.

I went with Corsa because it should be the best flowing catback out there as it is basically a straight through muffler. It should produce the best gains, at least in my mind. Plus, I think it will sound good!

I ordered mine April 4th, and I'm also still waiting. If I were you, I'd plan on not getting them until at least the end of August. (Not a rant)

Cool deal. If you're still running the old front O2 sensors, this is the time to get new ones. If you get the Bosch 13111's, you can cancel the extensions.

I think you should put in a set of poly motor mounts while you have the exhaust out of the way. You will be able to run the y-pipe closer to the body without the motor rocking over and causing the pipe to slap the bottom of the car.

We have a sticky about them at the top of this section.

Standard first reply from QTP, unless things have changed be prepared to wait months.

Do I need Rear Oxygen Simulators or does the Catted Y-pipe from QTP have provisions to plug the Oxygen Sonsoers in?

Just get the 13111's for the front. Since you say you're getting a tune, put the old rear ones in the Y or pipe plugs. The tuner can delete the possibility for any rear O2 codes. I put the old sensors in my Y, just to plug the holes, but they don't even exist as far as the computer is concerned.

Sounds like a lot of work. Do you really think it is worth it with the y-pipe that I ve ordered?

It is quite a bit of work, but definitely worth it in the end. Trust me, your 1999 motor mounts are probably pretty worn out by now. Put the Prothanes in while you have everything out. You will regret not doing it, if it becomes an issue down the road. They will raise things up just a bit too, which it sounds like the QTP setup could use.

I came across an Air Check Valve Mod in one of the sticky's that is supposed to quiet a ticking sound coming from check valves as well as keep them from burning up with a header install.

Is this really needed as well?
