Just got my tsp's installed and took it for a drive through town. I think I pissed off everyone in this town and the next one over lol. Definitely got a lot of looks that's for sure. I'm going to be running them all the way out the back here in the next few months.

On a plus side though, I do have pretty good clearance, that's the only thing I was worried about.

this was before i painted it and installed the tips. i found all the mandrel bends in a scrap pile and built it for free minus the mufflers and x pipe.

here's mine when i had the flowmaster outlaw bullet thingies dumped. they didnt do any muffling at all, but they really let the X pipe sing loudly.

this was with dynomax bullets in the middle and xr-1s in the back with no tips.

this is how it is now with dynomax bullets in the middle, XR-1s in the back with tips. i dont have any good videos of the current setup with tips.

got them straight from borla in december 2010. they were only $60 a piece vs like $150 each for every other 3" inlet tip i could find.

apparently they're $48 now.

I'm running stock manifolds and a SLP LM 2 cat back and I'm getting some LT headers in a few weeks - most likely BBK. I'm really digging the Texas Speed true duals with sweet thunders and want to know what I might expect in terms of loudness compared to my current setup. I really want a deeper tone and I think the true duals will give that to me.

headers will be smoother, deeper, and louder than manifolds.

Adding a setup not seen in this thread before. 1 3/4 LTs with a 3 inch H pipe, 3 inch Sweet Thunders, cutouts and then feeds back into the SLP Dual Dual. Will try to have it done by the end of the month

Had the exhaust off yesterday.. figured I'd post it up just to give some ideas..

nothing fancy. 3" cats with a nice smooth transition to 2.5", H crossover, and 2.5" sweet thunders. I've had the same setup with various cats, no cats, or run out the back since 2006. This is just the current layout.

I hate posting in this thread with nothing to show yet, but I figured it better than making a new one....

If my MagnaMouth still sucks, I plan to convert my stainless Y pipe to an X using a Magnaflow X, but NOT the one I've been seeing on here. I was going to use Part# 10782. It seem to more mimic a true X, similar to the TSP X. (I had to take a look at it without thinking about the flat steel part... then it looks identical)

For a dumped set-up with MagnaPacks, #14419, would this X be my best option? Just curious why everyone went with the other Magnaflow X. All I can think of is b/c you guys wanted the pipes close together so they could go over the axle....

it will be a lil louder but sound way better,no rasp, will be some drone, but overall duals crap on the lm2 and pretty much any catback imo,

dr.whigham ,you can buy the tsp kit without mufflers, really any x pipe willwork,i think just buying a x pipe would be a better idea than turning your y into a x, unlessyou have mad skills

Hey guys, I'm trying to go after something like tspence's Trans Am in this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UFvX1...ure=plpp_video

Since I'm new to true duals, I'm not sure where to start. I hate rasp, and I love how his sounds so smooth but still has a perfect growl to it. How should I go about emulating that?

Look a few pages back and look at.my pics, I copied his. You need an x pipe, cats, tips, 2 mufflers, 8 3 bolt flanges, some hangars to weld on and then tubing. Very nice and easy.setup to do

I thought about that, but I have this thing where I want to keep it all stainless. The Y's merge pipes areally aren't that far off at all compared to the inlets on the X I'm talking about.

All I really need is the tig done on the inlets of the X, and the 45's / Mufflers on the outlets. I can measure and cut them myself.

I donno, seems like a cool project none the less. Just need to decide between MagnaFlow 4x9's, Borla ProXs, Borla XR1's, or MagnaPacks

Do you have any recommendations for the X Pipe/All the other parts? I'm going with TSP Stainless Headers if that helps.

Perfect, that's exactly what I want. Do you have any clearance pictures you can post or pm me? Great sounding car, by the way.

Yeah ill try to get a few tomorrow Ill be in class until dark tonight. Honestly overall its the same as the Y pipe setup clearance wise. I did have to flip my fuel line brackets and bend one fuel line (did it all on the car) to clear the drivers side muffler. I built it with the X pipe touching the torque arm with the car in the air knowing the torque arm would raise once the rear was on the ground. only spot Ive had trouble with is the front of the muffler case. Thats the lowest point and where it is its at the worst place to not have clearance. Right in front of the rear tire. Im going to have to make some adjustments to be able to get into my apartment complex (big *** speed bumps)

For those wanting a deep sound this 3 inch setup blew my mind. Has a very deep yet corvettesque tone now. I need to get some video of some pulls.
