Which Watts link do you have?

It's the MWC one that mounts directly to their FAB9 rear axle housing.

It’s a heads and cam car with a 228/228 cam and trick flow heads. Idles a little high at 950 rpm. Needs some tuning. Video doesn't do it justice. It sounds amazing and I get compliments from everyone. Sounds very refined with the cats. It's still loud and will set car alarms off but doesn't have that ratchety straight pipe crackle.

I added the high flow cats to smoothen out the sound and also welded it up on the hangers to get extra clearance. Had to clearance the torque arm as well. No extra heat from cats.

Magnaflow 3" high flow cats. All 4th gens are the same underneath. The only thing that would be different is aftermarket suspension parts.

I thought all the hi flo cats were rounded, yours looks more traditional in shape. I was hoping those may fit better. Any shop I go to, no one will put them on, saying not enough room.

Local exhaust shop installs lots of these on Fbodies.

thanks, it looks like my set up has the pipes turned towards the x pipe closer to the headers leaving less room for cats. Sheesh, Not sure if a shop would run me some pipes moving my x pipe a little further down to get some cats in.

Why wrap the whole system? That system will be heat treated to death within 2 years. Wrapping serves no purpose.

Reduce in cabin noise.

It made a big difference inside the car, I can actually have phone conversations and go through a drive through with the car running

The SE TDs were a bit raspy to me so I added high flow cats to smoothen it out.

I have been looking at trying to get a fully bolt on header and true dual combo that comes with cats and the only company I have found is Kooks. Any one know any others? I have to emission this car and like to do everything myself on my cars. No access to a welder.

No, as far as I know, Kooks are the only manufacturer who can supply an off the shelf catted True dual system.

its either spend the $$$$$ time or drop that “working myself” ethos just for one job.

Fair enough. I guess I'll check my local shops for pricing or just start saving.

Nice Job on the Muffler system. I wish I had the desire to work on my own exhaust on My truck. So far i have a Cherry Bomb on my 5.2 dodge ram. But it sounds good to me.

I hope some folks who have done exhaust systems can give me an answer here.

We're doing a "true dual" system for one project that I'm working on. This one has some strange parameters/requirements.

The one thing I'm going to need that I haven't located/identified yet is the muffler(s). I think the optimum muffler for this one is going to be dual inlet, dual outlet, all in and out will need to be 2.5". I wish there was a FlowMaster Super 50 Series in that configuration, but they don't make it that way.

This one needs to be quiet (until the cutouts are opened), but preferably not loose (much) performance. I'm looking for something around the same sound level as a stock Cadillac CTS-V, or maybe even slightly quieter than that.

Does anyone have any recommendations/suggestions for this?

We also will be doing cutouts on this one, but piping the cutouts to two additional tips at the rear. The end result will have four tips, like a C7 or late C6 Corvette, with the muffled pipes in the outer positions, and the cutouts going to the center two pipes.

There is a Flowmaster Series 50 dual-in dual-out 2.5" connections #8525554,lists for about $260. Moderate sound
Also there are 2 different Series 50 Big Block mufflers that have either 3" or 2-3/4" inlets that you can swell the pipes going into it to fit.
They are #530504 (3") and 527504 (2-3/4"). Both of these are quieter than the first one.
