a/c tensioner pulley

a/c tensioner pulley I been ready the message board and saw a few post about just replacing the pulley on the tensioner with the ac idler pulley and auto zone has the ac idler pulley for 18 in stock. Is this true or do i have buy the whole tensioner with the pulley on it
If you can get just the pulley I assume you can replace it by itself. I know you can replace just the main tensioner pulley and not touch the tensioner, but I'm not positive about the a/c.
BTW - It does take a pretty large "Torx" head driver to unscrew the a/c tensioner pulley if I remember correctly. It might be the a/c idler with the Torx bolt in it though.

I dont think you can get the ac tensioner or the idler at most parts stores, make sure they arent looking up the main tensioner. I have worked for several retail parts stores and to the best of my knowledge these are only available thru gm, i could be wrong though. heres the gm part #'s incase ya need em.

I couldn't get them at the Orielly's in my town, my friend works there and we went thru all the catalogs they had. I ended up just getting the bearings they are normal 202 or 203 bearings if I remember right and I cut the lip off the pulley holding the beaing in on one side then I locktited the new bearing in it's been fine for 3 months
