I've got the Hooker and its not loud at idle. I put a Supermaxx System on the car along with the Hooker cat back and took a Flowmaster off and the car is quiter now than when I started. I personally like the deep sound and lack of the internal resonance. You should see the surprised look on their faces when you kick it and the loud comes out.
i like the sound of hooker, ive only heard it on a turbo 383 with a 3 1/2 in exhaust but i like the sound, when its sitting idleing it can get loud but when your driving and cruising around it gets quieter. very nice.
not real loud, about the same as the magnaflow, but both cars are cammed might not be the best to compare the two. Also, I have no rasp in my setup, only really there at 3/4 throttle at 3500 rpm, and basically if at a 3500, it is a WOT, so no rasp. LOL
I love the sound my hooker makes when im on her hard but its just to quiet at idle. If your barley going in 1st like in a parking lot does it get a little bit louder then at idle.
