Which intake for an iron 421?

Default Which intake for an iron 421?

Hey everyone. I want to build a 421 stroker by next year. 6.0 LQ4/LQ9 block, bored .030" over, forged 4.125" crank, forged rods (H-beams?), and some Diamond 4.03" pistons. I'm shooting for 11.5:1 compression. I want to get some NICE heads for this setup....ETP's, big AFR's, maybe some Darts if I find satisfactory results. Might even go with a L92/LS7 setup, but not sure. If I stay with an LS1/LS2 based setup, what intake manifold should I go with? I'm going to try and match the componenets as well as I can, and shoot for 600+ rwhp. Opinions please...accidentally posted this in the internal forums

How is that gigantic sig working out for you? 500X150 is max size.
FAST 90/NW 90 setup would work for what you are talking about.

If you're going to 600rwhp n/a, you'll need some pretty radical stuff. LS7 heads that have been worked and a sheetmetal or ported LS7 intake. You'll also need to have a huge cam and pretty nice compression to make up for it.

FAST 90/90 is great for LS1/2/6 setups but have been known to become a bottle next at round 560rwhp.

My car would dyno differently, being that I have an automatic, a 10 bolt (for now - I think that with 600rwhp I'll need something better), and I won't have such heavy wheels. The compression is just what I was thinking too.

I'm planning around mid 11.X:1 compression and a larger custom grind, maybe on LSK lobes. I know I'll need something pretty wicked....just wondering how wicked I will need. The only thing is that LS7 heads seem to need a 4.1" or larger bore...
