Default those with dumped duals in here

Will aiming the dumps outwards help with the resonation at ~1500? Mine make it sound like a honda is chasing me for about 200-300 rpm on slow take offs.

thanks

I have 'em angled out about 30*... I have the same sound you describe, but other than that, I can't complain, and IMO it's quieter than my LM was. Try a 45* angle and see if that helps.

It's not the dumps that rattle. It's everything that's loose in your car. I don't have anything loose, so I get no rattle.

Maybe it could be something rattling but i could swear it was the actual exhaust noise. I'll have to ask someone if they can hear it fromt he outside.

Mine does the same kinda thing, its just the nature of the beast. No matter how you angle em, you're gonna get some resonation.

My duals dont make any sound that sounds even remotely close to a honda. I do have some rattles but I need to go under there and tighten things up a bit.

100% agreed. Of course I have Flowmaster Delta Flow 1 Chamber mufflers... so... yeah

I do get some resonance in the car about 1900 rpm for a split second if I am slowly accellerating in 6th gear, but thats it...

I'm guessing the effects will be minimal, but ive always had mine turned out.
And yeah, i get that too, maybe not at that exact RPM range, but close.
I think its a frequency thing of the pulses, and unless you get the resonation out from under the car completely, its just gonna happen.

For the record, my setup has no rasp and has magnaflows with turn-ins. But if I leave that flap that covers the trunk down, it rattles with a very raspy sound. I leave it up for now, but I'm going to get some foam or something to shut it up. If I were you, I'd seriously look at something loose causing your noise. If not something in the car, then a loose heat shield or bad hanger. Duals should sound smoooooooth.

I think i narrowed it down to one of the passenger side primaries being extermely close to the body. Hopefully I'll have time to do some hammering today.

angling the pipes at a 45 degree angle definately helped with my resonance and rattling. I also think it looks better, more professional.

That was my point. Just in a shorter set of words.
