Default Kooks 1 7/8 install ?

I have to take the tranny out for a rebuild. Is it better to install Kooks lt headers now? How big of a difference is it without tranny in the way?

We had to loosen the tranny mount and move it to the side a little. But if the tranny is off, might as well just do it instead of having the tranny on and running into some issues.

Hmm, are kooks that different?? ... Also , I didn't realize we were talking about 1 7/8" headers until just now. I could definetely see how that would pose a problem.

The tranny should'nt pose a problem, at least my Kooks 1 7/8" didn't. But the more room the merrier.

The primaries havent gotten in the way of headers that I have personally installed, its the flange that gets on the way on the firewall on the drivers side. Having the tranny out wont help you with the install, but you may as well while your car is down.

Yes that flange was a mother to get in until I popped the motor mount bolt out and jacked the engine up a bit.

Yeah thats the intelligent way to do it. I layed down under my car and beat my header in. I was tired and wanted to finish.
