Default Help with the SLP lid installation

i installed the slp lid along with the slp bellows but it seems like it doesnt fit well.
i cant fully clip the lid and it barely slides in the four slots on the filter base. does anyone have similar problems with the installation ? thanks in advance.

Well, while I don't have the bellows, and do have an SLP lid, I'm pretty sure the word around here is going to be that you will need to trim the bellow down a little bit to move things back so the lid will go into the 4 slots. You could maybe try to slide the bellow as far onto the throttle body as you could. My money would be the trim thing though.

also make sure that the front lip of the lid (between the clips) is tucked into the lower air box

It's your bellows, trim it. I put my SLP lid on yesterday, and it fit like a glove with the stock bellows.

i would take off the bellows all together. there is no gain to be seen. all it's good for is cracking lids and causing them to fit improperly.

Hmm...I have the factory bellows, and my SLP lid has never fit right...hits the hood right in between the SLP logo and the bellows every time I close it. Anyone else had this problem?

Weird...guess this is just an SLP thing. None of my friends have ever had a problem with the fitment on their lids.

I think a lot of people have a problem with the SLP lid rubbing on the hood. I hate the mark on my lid!

I have SLP lid and bellows and I never had a problem with fitment.
And leave the bellow on, it looks way better than the stock ****.
Of course you wont notice a difference, haha, who thinks that you would??
