you can put some foam weatherstripping on there, dont know how it would look with your clear lid

That's what I had to do. It worked good, but I had a black lid and couldn't see it.

Weird, the K&N fit much worse than my Holley. Regardless the fit on the aftermarket lids is crap. Try using a thin strip of weatherstripping on the back bottom side of the filter to push the rear of the filter up a bit. I do this on the back and sides to get the best seal.

I think a LOT of people are driving around with similar issues and don't even know it. That's why I love the clear lid. Easier to T/S such a problem.

It might be the felter brand, I had a Holley felter and it was thicker than the stock one and the K&N one as well, and it did'nt fit well at all. Then I went with the K&N and it sealed great. See if you can find anybody that has a LS1 and a K&N felter in the car, borrow it and see if it fits better before you go and buy it. Oh! and by the way, where did you get those headlights for your TA in the picture, and how much did they cost. They look BADASS I WANT SOME FOR MY CAR TOO!!!!!!!

I got the headlights from breathless performance for for a $1000 and I had to MAKE them fit I wish someone would build a better set.

Does anyone know if the Green air filter fits any better than the K&N or the Holly air filters.
Ive tried the K&N with my old air lid and didn't like the gasket idea

my lid does it on the sides cuz it came with a new filter so i put it in and noticed its way to thick. if you pull it out and look there will probably be grooves from the bottom of the intake box in the filter its self i'll be picking up a K&N soon
