Default Removing Cats Possibly keeping stock muffler?

Ok to start my car is STOCK, I really didnt want it extremely loud so I was debating removing the cats with an OR Y-Pipe and keeping the stock muffler. Does anyone have a sound clip of what that may sound like? Thanks Jon

LT headers with no cats and stock muffler sounds very nice, better than most aftermarket junk mufflers

I have LT's ORY and stock catback on mine. The catback was stock from a 2002 Firehawk anyway, it's actually an SLP Dual/Dual. It has a nice tone, and is pretty quiet. I also have a bullet in the I pipe, which is where I get my user title from.

I've been thinking abotut taking the bullet out due to it being outrageously quiet when the cutout is closed.

Does anyone have any possible dyno numbers of a car with the cats removed and a stock muffler/catback system? The car has a nice rumble stock, I figured if I removed the cats, it would make it maybe twice as loud but still kinda stock soundind... Kinda like a sleeper

What's up man! Here's a link of your car w/ Kooks LT's, Kooks CYP and the stock catback. Or even better check the one below.

I have Long tubes, Y-Pipe w/o cats, and a stock muffer on my Trans Am. I like how quiet the car is. The car has sort of a growl to it. I like it. But I also have another car that I can make Loud, obnoxious and annoying. My friend has a Flowmaster on his car and to me it is just too loud, especially if it is a Daily Driver.
The stock muffler is very restrictive. I put a cutout on the car and it gained about 3 tenths and a little over 2 mph in the 1/4 mile. There is a very noticible differnece in throttle responsive with the cutout open.

Just my .02
